Anthony Gordon's Playing Style: A Versatile Star Capable of Replacing Raphinha, Lewandowski and Lamine
Anthony Michael Gordon completed his move from Newcastle United to Barcelona for a fixed fee of 70 million euros plus 10 million in add-ons. Despite not being widely recognized by the general public, the English international is an extremely versatile attacker capable of playing across the front line.
Gordon can operate as a left winger, right winger, or central striker. He made his Premier League debut at Everton under Carlo Ancelotti at just 18 years old before gradually shifting to the left flank, where playing on his weaker foot became his natural position.
In Raphinha's role, Gordon likes to receive the ball wide and use quick turns to cut inside and deliver crosses or shoot to the far post. Beating defenders on the outside remains a rarer trait in his game.
