Arribas Wins Pichichi and Zarra Awards, José Alberto Takes Miguel Muñoz Trophy
The LaLiga Hypermotion regular season has concluded and the awards for the best performers have been finalized. Almería star Sergio Arribas claimed the Pichichi award as the top scorer and the Zarra award as the highest-scoring Spanish player in the league.
Arribas netted 25 goals throughout the season, outpacing his rivals. Málaga forward Andrés Martín and Chupete finished second with 24 goals.
With this achievement, an Almería player has won the award for the second consecutive season, following in the footsteps of Luis Suárez, who moved to Sporting de Portugal. Racing's head coach José Alberto won the Miguel Muñoz award for best manager for the second time.
The Asturian coach topped the journalists' voting across 42 matchdays with 76 points. Cantero was awarded the Trofeo Zamora for guarding the league's tightest defense.
