Atlas FC Sold to José Miguel Bejos – End of Multi‑Ownership Era in Liga MX
Atlas FC is closing the chapter of Orlegi Sports' seven‑year stewardship with a landmark ownership change. In April 2026 the club was purchased by José Miguel Bejos through Grupo PRODI, a deal approved by the Liga MX owners' assembly to eliminate multi‑ownership in Mexican football.
Under Orlegi, Atlas broke a 70‑year league title drought by winning the Apertura 2021 and Clausura 2022 championships. The new owners are reshaping the board and are reportedly scouting a Spanish executive to lead the rojinegra side.
Whether Diego Cocca will remain as head coach remains undecided.
