Bogota Activates Regional Pico y Placa for Holiday Return

The District Secretariat of Mobility in Bogota activated a special operational device to manage vehicle departures and entries during the holiday bridge commemorating the Battle of Boyaca. Officials estimated that more than 1.

1 million vehicles would leave the city while approximately one million vehicles are expected to return over the course of the weekend. The cornerstone of this traffic management strategy is the implementation of the Regional Pico y Placa measure.

This restriction is entirely mandatory for all private automobiles entering the capital through the nine designated access corridors. The traffic regulation will specifically operate during the afternoon hours to ensure smoother circulation for returning motorists.

Authorities urge all drivers to plan their trips carefully and adhere to the scheduled time slots to avoid heavy congestion.
