Brazil's World Cup squad plane receives blessing before departure
Before heading to their World Cup base, Brazil's national team plane was blessed by two fire department trucks. The firefighters sprayed water to create symbolic markings on the aircraft's nose and tail as part of a ritual.
This tradition is meant to bring luck and morale to the squad. The plane then departed Rio de Janeiro bound for the tournament camp.
The team hopes the spiritual gesture will translate into a strong showing at the competition.
