Bufkin Scores Career-High 41 as Lakers Top Go-Go

Fueled by a career-high 41 points from Kobe Bufkin, the South Bay Lakers defeated the Capital City Go-Go 124-111 at CareFirst Arena. Bufkin was nearly unstoppable for the visiting Lakers with a personal-best eight 3-pointers on 13 attempts.

The guard did most of his damage in a dominant first half by making his first seven 3-point attempts. Bufkin rounded out his stat line with eight assists, two rebounds and a pair of steals.

South Bay pulled away with a 39-16 second quarter and never relinquished the lead. Anton Watson was efficient, scoring 26 points on 12-of-17 shooting while adding six rebounds.

RJ Davis contributed 25 points and matched Bufkin with a team-high eight assists. Chris Manon controlled the glass with 11 rebounds, and Arthur Kaluma added 10 points and six boards.

The Lakers continued their upward trajectory in the league with a 10-7 record.
