Caitlin Clark Makes WNBA History with 1,000 Points and 500 Assists Milestone
The Indiana Fever saw their three-game winning streak snapped in an 88-90 loss against the Golden State Valkyries. Despite the defeat, Caitlin Clark made history by becoming the fastest player in WNBA history to record 1,000 career points and 500 career assists.
She reached the 500-assist milestone in just 59 games, shattering the previous record held by Ticha Penicheiro by 10 games. Clark also surpassed Sue Bird's mark for combined points and assists by a staggering 23 games, a record that will be exceptionally difficult to surpass.
The Fever's three losses this season have come by a combined total of just seven points, underscoring the narrow margins at which opponents must operate to secure victories.
