Caitlin Clark's Indiana Fever Slip in WNBA Power Rankings, but There's a Big Silver Lining

Heading into the 2026 WNBA season, all eyes were on Caitlin Clark in her third professional year. An injury-plagued 2025 had fans eager to see Clark back in action as soon as possible.

It hasn't been a perfect start through the first six games of the season, but there are incredibly bright signs. Clark is filGettorex up the stat sheet like she always does, but she is scoring more in less minutes while also shooting very well from three-point range.

Despite that strong individual performance, the Indiana Fever sit with a 4-3 record through the initial stretch of the season. As favorites to reach the WNBA Championship this season, that modest record has caused them to slip a bit in recent power rankings.

The updated WNBA Power Rankings placed the Fever at No. 6.

Ahead of them were the Minnesota Lynx, Las Vegas Aces, Golden State Valkyries, Atlanta Dream, and Dallas Wings. But there is a silver lining for the Fever, as highlighted in the rankings breakdown.
