Champions League 2026‑27 Kicks Off Amid World Cup Quarterfinals
UEFA has scheduled the start of the 2026‑27 Champions League to coincide with the World Cup quarterfinals. A total of 83 clubs from 55 member associations will compete, with 28 teams taking part in the initial phase.
Twelve eliminated sides will drop into the Conference League second qualifying round. The tournament final is set for 5 June 2027 at Madrid's Metropolitano stadium.
