Checo Pérez Stays at Cadillac: Team Officials Issue Definitive Statement

Recent weeks of rumors suggesting Sergio 'Checo' Pérez would leave Cadillac were firmly denied by team officials. Cadillac team director Graeme Lowdon officially confirmed that both Pérez and Valtteri Bottas would remain with the team throughout the 2026 season.

Lowdon stated that there was no truth whatsoever to claims that Bottas was at risk or that Pérez might move to another team. Although various sources had suggested that Checo Pérez had received offers from other teams, Cadillac management refuted these reports.

Speculations that Valtteri Bottas would be replaced by Formula 2 driver Colton Herta were also dismissed by the team. By demonstrating its commitment to maintaining stability in its driver lineup, Cadillac announced it would continue the remainder of the season with a strong roster.
