Chris Harper Withdraws from Tour de France Due to Injury

Australian cyclist Chris Harper was unable to start the eleventh stage of the Tour de France. An unfortunate fall on the descent of Pas de Peyrol the previous day resulted in a severe thumb injury for Harper.

The 31-year-old underwent surgery the same night, and doctors ruled out his continuation in the race. Despite the crash, Harper had managed to complete the tenth stage with significant difficulty in gripping his handlebars.
