Colombia Reshedules Renta Ciudadana and VAT Compensation Payments
The Colombian administrative department for social prosperity has officially confirmed the rescheduling of financial giro payments. The fourth cycle of Renta Ciudadana and VAT compensation has been shifted from its initial schedule.
Payments previously announced to start on August 21 will now begin in September. This administrative decision directly responds to ongoing reviews in the implementation of the Universal Income Registry.
The new system is regulated by a specific presidential decree aimed at protecting vulnerable populations. Authorities identified severe operational risks during the transition phase toward the new targeting mechanism.
Consequently, the adjustment ensures the continuous provision of vital subsidies for thousands of families across Colombia.
