Courtney Clenney Sentenced to Six Years for Manslaughter

Courtney Clenney, a 30-year-old social media personality, has received a six-year prison sentence for the 2022 killing of her boyfriend, Christian Obumseli. The sentencing took place last Monday, August 10, following a plea deal in which she admitted to charges of involuntary manslaughter with a deadly weapon.

The tragic incident occurred on April 3, 2022, at the couple's residence in Miami, Florida. According to legal reports, the altercation resulted in the fatal stabbing of the 27-year-old victim with a kitchen knife.

Clenney had been in custody since the time of the event, which will be factored into her remaining time served. Following the six-year prison term, she is also set to serve five years of probation.

It is expected that she will spend approximately two additional years behind bars before becoming eligible for release on parole.
