Dallas Cowboys defense gets boost as DaRon Bland and Donovan Ezeiruaku near return

The Cowboys are focusing on the return of two key defensive pieces as they prepare for the 2026 season. Cornerback DaRon Bland missed the final three games of the 2025 campaign due to a left foot injury and has been recovering from surgery.

Edge rusher Donovan Ezeiruaku is back from a hip labrum repair and is taking part in individual drills. Head coach Brian Schottenheimer said the players will see increased work in the coming weeks.

The team hopes their healthy comeback will strengthen the defensive unit. Both are projected to be game‑ready when training camp opens.
