Emily Ryan, Iowa State Assist Record Holder, Hired as Assistant Coach
Emily Ryan, one of the most productive point guards in Iowa State women's basketball history, has been appointed as a full‑time assistant coach. Between 2020 and 2025 she recorded a school‑record 993 assists, ranking seventh all‑time in Division I.
She also joins an elite group with at least 1,500 points, 900 assists and 600 rebounds in a career. After serving as a graduate assistant last season, she now joins the coaching staff on a permanent basis.
Head coach Bill Fennelly praised Ryan’s court vision and leadership as valuable assets for the program’s future.
