Enes Kanter Freedom Files Lawsuit Against Chicago Sky

Enes Kanter Freedom has officially initiated legal action against the Chicago Sky and the management of Wintrust Arena. The lawsuit, filed in the Northern District of Illinois, alleges that his First Amendment rights were violated after he was removed from a home game.

The incident occurred on August 23 during a matchup between the Chicago Sky and the Indiana Fever. According to the filing, Kanter Freedom was involved in a verbal exchange with Sky player Natasha Cloud late in the third quarter.

Following this interaction, he was ejected from the venue and subsequently banned from attending future WNBA games at the arena. The lawsuit also names the City of Chicago and the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority as defendants.

The legal proceedings aim to address the circumstances surrounding his removal and the subsequent ban from the facility.
