Ferrari and Peugeot face shock elimination in Le Mans qualifying

The failure of Peugeot, who took pole at Spa, and the defending champion Ferrari to reach Hyperpole was a major shock. Stoffel Vandoorne and Malthe Jakobsen failed to set a time good enough to advance.

Ferrari's top speed deficit looks set to punish them severely in this race. Both factory Ferraris finished on the bubble in 14th and 15th places.
