FIFA bans Cádiz CF from player registrations for three periods
FIFA imposed a sanction on Cádiz CF, prohibiting the club from registering new players for three registration periods starting 2 June 2026, alongside similar bans on several other Spanish teams. The penalty stems from the club's failure to meet financial obligations and breaches of regulatory rules.
As a result, Cádiz cannot enter the transfer market or reinforce its squad during the ban. Other affected clubs include Vélez CF, Algeciras CF and Fuenlabrada.
The clubs have appealed to FIFA, seeking a review of the decision.
