Five Violations Can Revoke a Mexico City Driver’s License July 2026

Mexico City announced that, starting in July 2026, five particular traffic offenses will trigger license suspension or cancellation. The offenses include excessive speeding, driving under the influence, failure to wear a seatbelt, running red lights and other serious violations.

Authorities said that once recorded, a driver’s license can be suspended within a month or revoked entirely. The measures aim to improve safety on the city’s streets.
