Flight Instructor Leandro Bertazzo Jumps from Plane at 250 Metres

During a flight lesson in Córdoba province, instructor Leandro Bertazzo opened the cockpit door at about 250 metres altitude, removed his headset and safety belt, and jumped into the void. The 22‑year‑old trainee, despite being in shock, applied his training to keep the aircraft under control and land safely.

Bertazzo’s body was recovered shortly after in a field south of the town of Toledo. School officials said the incident was unexpected and that authorities are conducting a full investigation.
