Gençlerbirliği win the 58th TSYD Ankara Cup
Super League side Gençlerbirliği defeated MKE Ankaragücü 2-1 in the final of the Azem İnşaat 58th Turkish Sports Writers Association (TSYD) Ankara Cup to lift the trophy. Gençlerbirliği opened the scoring in the match and managed to hold on despite Ankaragücü's equaliser in the second half.
With this victory, Gençlerbirliği made a strong start to their pre-season preparations. Ankaragücü, who will compete in the Nesine 2.
League, remained undeterred despite the defeat. Both teams fielded strong line-ups in the final, keeping the excitement alive until the very end.
