Guillermo Almada reviews Club América's Apertura 2026 squad
Guillermo Almada, the Uruguayan head coach, is steering Club América into a new era. Ahead of the Apertura 2026 kickoff, he confirmed that goalkeeper Luis Malagón and striker Henry Martín are in good physical shape.
In contrast, forward Victor Dávila is still recovering from a serious knee injury suffered last year and remains unavailable for selection. Almada stressed the need to reinforce the squad before the transfer window closes.
