Guillermo Ochoa Set for Sixth World Cup as Mexico Unveils Final Roster

The Mexican Football Federation has released its 26‑man squad for the 2026 World Cup, confirming veteran goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa will appear in his sixth tournament. Ochoa has become the most‑capped Mexican player since the 2022 Qatar edition.

The roster mirrors the 2022 list, with only five players listed as injury risks. Mexico will open Group A against South Africa on June 11, then face South Korea on June 18 and the Czech Republic on June 24.

Coach Aguirre emphasized that seasoned leaders will guide the younger talents onto the world stage.
