Jason Remeseiro: Cristiano Ronaldo drove the growth of Saudi football
Spanish midfielder Jason Remeseiro completed his first season in Saudi Arabia as Al-Fayha's top contributor in goals and assists. The La Coruña-born player enjoyed a long career in Spain, making 208 appearances across Levante, Villarreal, Valencia, Getafe, and Alavés.
After playing a role in Alavés' return to La Liga in 2023, Remeseiro moved to Portuguese side Arouca, where he recorded 13 goals and 9 assists in 75 matches. He joined Saudi Arabia last summer, admitting that economic factors influenced his decision while also noting the high level of football in the country.
