Kelsey Mitchell Sidelined by Overheating in Indiana Fever Victory

Kelsey Mitchell delivered an outstanding performance before an unexpected health precaution removed her from the game. The star player scored 29 points to lead all scorers in the Indiana Fever 101-95 win over Toronto Tempo.

Despite scoring eight rapid points late in the third quarter, Mitchell did not play at all in the fourth quarter. Concerns grew as Toronto reduced Indiana's lead while Mitchell retreated to the team locker room.

Head coach Stephanie White later explained that Mitchell sat out after simply getting overheated during the contest. White noted that this was the second straight game played in an uncomfortably warm playing environment.

The coach confirmed that the situation was unrelated to Mitchell's previous playoff health issue. Indiana managed to secure the victory despite playing without their primary offensive weapon down the stretch.
