Madrid authorities dismantle fake World Cup shirt factory

Spanish tax officials have raided a factory in Getafe, Madrid, that specialized in the on-demand production of counterfeit World Cup jerseys. Authorities seized 3,200 garments and 12 printing machines that violated intellectual property rights.

This operation revealed a shift in strategy, with fakes being produced domestically rather than imported from Asia.
