Marc Márquez Shows Strong Form in Italy GP First Practice

Fabio Di Giannantonio set the pace in the opening free practice session of the MotoGP Italian Grand Prix at Mugello, confirming his status as the early favourite despite racing with an injured left pinky finger. However, the standout story was Marc Márquez, who found his rhythm as the track dried following a morning downpour.

The Spaniard adopted a measured approach, pushing only when necessary and delivering a strong performance without needing to chase the top spot. Track temperatures sat at 21 degrees with ambient conditions at 20 degrees.

His teammate Bagnaia set the early benchmark in the session. Meanwhile, Pirro replaced the absent Álex Márquez at Gresini Ducati, while Crutchlow filled in for Zarco at LCR Honda.
