Marcelo Flores Leaves CONCACAF Final with Knee Injury

Canadian international Marcelo Flores was forced to leave the CONCACAF Champions League final after a knee injury. The incident occurred in the 78th minute when he clipped Toluca defender Santiago Simón and his right knee became trapped in the grass.

Flores had entered the match in the 62nd minute as a substitute for Ozziel Herrera, but his participation lasted only about fifteen minutes. He was replaced by André‑Pierre Gignac, and the medical staff announced further laboratory tests to assess the damage.
