Mexico Will Have 7 Referees at the 2026 World Cup: FIFA's Selected Officials Revealed

Mexico will be represented by seven referees at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The Mexican Football Federation (FMF) Referees Commission announced that two center referees, three assistant referees, and two VAR officials have been selected for the roster.

The Mexican referees were chosen from among professionals who have demonstrated outstanding performances in international competitions throughout their careers. With less than two weeks remaining before the World Cup kicks off, Mexico will also serve as a co-host nation.

The country will host 13 matches across three cities: Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Monterrey. The Referees Commission expressed great pride in having seven officials represent Mexico at the tournament.
