Nobel Laureate Physicist Warns Nuclear War Risk Growing Every Day

Nobel Prize-winning physicist David Gross has issued a stark warning that the risk of nuclear war worldwide has increased dramatically over the past 30 years. Gross pointed out that the collapse of strategic arms control treaties since the end of the Cold War has significantly heightened the danger, noting that the annual probability of nuclear conflict is far from negligible.

The 2004 Nobel laureate in Physics stressed that humanity's chances of surviving the next 50 years are alarmingly low due to the escalating nuclear arms race. Gross added that reading the newspapers each day only makes the deteriorating situation more apparent, urging greater public awareness of the existential threat posed by nuclear weapons.
