Pentagon pauses 155 wind projects over radar interference
The Pentagon announced the suspension of 155 wind energy projects, citing the need to protect radar system integrity. Projects across 24 states, including Texas, Colorado and Washington, were put on hold.
Officials warned that the moving blades and metallic structures of turbines could impede detection of small drones and missiles. The move forces a reassessment of the balance between renewable energy development and national defense.
