Phil Mickelson enters British Open at Royal Birkdale

The 55-year-old golfer has missed most of the year due to family health issues, skipping the Masters and PGA Championship. Mickelson only appeared at one LIV Golf event in South Africa but remains eligible for the Open as a past champion.

His registration suggests a strong intent to return to action at Royal Birkdale in July.
