Rafa Jodar has achieved a significant milestone by reaching the semifinals of the Washington Open, an ATP 500 event. The Spanish player staged a remarkable comeback to defeat Italian Lorenzo Musetti with a score of 1-6, 6-1, 6-4.

This victory not only advances him in the tournament but also ensures his entry into the ATP Top 20 rankings for the first time. The match lasted one hour and 59 minutes, showcasing Jodar's resilience on hard courts.

In the semifinals, he is set to face Chilean Alejandro Tabilo, who upset Ben Shelton in his quarterfinal match. Jodar previously faced Tabilo at Indian Wells earlier this year, where he suffered a defeat.

This marks Jodar's third career semifinal appearance on the circuit, following his successes in Marrakech and Barcelona.
