Rayo Vallecano Announces Full Renovation of Sports City Pitches

Rayo Vallecano president Raúl Martín Presa announced a complete overhaul of the artificial pitches at the club’s sports city. The club has reached an agreement with the Madrid City Council to carry out the renovation during the summer months.

Rayo will cover 50 % of the total cost, with works scheduled to finish by August so the fields can be used again. Presa noted that Rayo is the only professional Madrid club with just one natural‑grass pitch, a limitation that has affected preparation.

The upgrade aims to improve training quality and provide better facilities for youth players. The president stressed that the investment will strengthen the club’s long‑term competitive edge.
