Rayo Vallecano Signs Goalkeeper Emil Audero on Loan
Rayo Vallecano has officially secured the services of Italian-Indonesian goalkeeper Emil Audero on a season-long loan from Como 1907. The move comes as a direct response to the injury suffered by Augusto Batalla during the second matchday of the league campaign.
Audero, 29, will now compete for the starting position alongside Dani Cardenas. The goalkeeper sought a move after falling down the pecking order at Como following the arrival of Robert Sanchez.
Throughout his career, Audero has gained significant experience in Italy, having played for Juventus, Venezia, Sampdoria, and Inter Milan. Last season, he made 35 appearances while on loan at Cremonese.
This addition provides Rayo Vallecano with experienced cover in a crucial position.
