Revised Anti‑Smoking Law Extends Ban to Public and Hotel Pools
Spain’s Anti‑Smoking Act (Law 28/2005) has been updated to include public and hotel pools in its smoking ban. Effective September 2025, smoking is strictly forbidden in communal swimming areas across hotels, apartments, and public facilities.
Enforcement measures have been strengthened to ensure compliance. The change aims to improve health and hygiene standards during the summer season.
