Richard Carapaz Claims Victory on Alpe d’Huez in 2026 Tour de France

The penultimate stage of the 2026 Tour de France unfolded on Alpe d’Huez, featuring a 170. 9‑km route with more than 5,400 m of climbing.

Ecuadorian rider Richard Carapaz delivered a dominant performance, crossing the finish line first to claim the stage victory. His main rival Sepp Kuss launched a late attack, trying to drop Carapaz and Jai Hindley, but Carapaz held on to secure the win.

The triumph gives Carapaz a vital boost in the race for the coveted yellow jersey.
