Rock earn Game 1 playoff victory over Seals
The Toronto Rock took a 1-0 lead in their NLL semifinal series by defeating the San Diego Seals 14-12 in Game 1. Sam English and Challen Rogers each recorded three goals and two assists, while Mark Matthews added three goals and an assist.
Toronto goaltender Nick Rose made 44 saves to secure the win. Tre Leclaire led San Diego with three goals and four assists.
The two teams will meet again in Game 2 of the best-of-three series.
