Ronald Araujo Opens Up About His Mental Health Struggles: 'I Kept Everything Inside... Until I Exploded'

Ronald Araujo (Rivera, 1999) has experienced a bittersweet season. On one hand, he enjoyed sporting success, lifting the La Liga and Supercopa trophies as captain.

On the other hand, he had to step away due to mental health issues. Having overcome those challenges, he says it was one of the best decisions of his life.

Reflecting on the season, Araujo noted they won two beautiful titles, worked hard for La Liga throughout the year, and clinched the Supercopa in a special way by defeating their biggest rival. Expressing disappointment at not winning the Champions League, the most important goal, Araujo stated they have a young and growing team that will eventually get there.
