Sabres GM Kekäläinen Uses Both First-Round Picks After Trade Talks

Sabres general manager Jarmo Kekäläinen confirmed he was open to trading either of his first-round draft selections but ultimately could not find a player who matched the value of the picks. Kekäläinen stated he was willing to move either pick if the right opportunity presented itself, but no suitable offer materialized.

The Sabres ended up using both selections in the draft.
