Sinner prevails in Rome, equals Djokovic's Masters record
World No. 1 Jannik Sinner advanced to the Italian Open quarterfinals with a commanding performance.
The Italian defeated qualifier Andrea Pellegrino 6-2, 6-3 to claim his 31st consecutive Masters Series victory, matching Novak Djokovic's long-standing record. Sinner has not lost a Masters event since retiring with cramps in extreme heat against Tallon Griekspoor in Shanghai last October.
The win further cements his dominance on the ATP Tour outside of the Grand Slams. Sinner now awaits his quarterfinal opponent in Rome as he looks to continue his remarkable streak.
