Spain's Electricity Prices Hit Record High on June 1

In parts of Spain where temperatures rose to 35 °C, electricity prices surged to record levels. On June 1 the average price reached €69.

69 per MWh, with several hourly slots exceeding €100 and a peak of €145. 28 per MWh between 22:00 and 23:00.

The previous day’s average was €44. 49 per MWh.

These fluctuations are prompting consumers to reassess their energy usage patterns. Experts warn that prices could climb even higher during peak demand periods.
