Team USA Makes Roster Changes for FIBA World Cup
The United States women's basketball team has announced significant adjustments to its roster ahead of the FIBA World Cup in Berlin. Due to ongoing health concerns, A'ja Wilson and Kelsey Plum have been withdrawn from the squad.
Wilson has been managing a recurring back issue, while Plum has struggled with a calf injury throughout the season. To fill these vacancies, the coaching staff has called up guard Sonia Citron and forward Kiki Iriafen.
The team is now focused on integrating these new players into the system quickly. Despite the changes, the squad remains a top favorite to compete for the gold medal.
The players are currently in the final stages of preparation before the tournament tips off.
