Tour de France Organizers Defend Hotel Conditions Amid Complaints

The Tour de France management has issued a statement following complaints from teams about their accommodation conditions. Race director Christian Prudhomme explained that staging the event through rural and mountainous regions of France often limits access to luxury hotel options.

Issues such as extreme heat, lack of air conditioning, insects, and mold were among the primary concerns raised by some teams. Prudhomme emphasized that these challenges are an inherent part of the logistical complexity of the race.
