U.S. Women's Pro Leagues in Talks for Interleague Competition

Soccer and the federation's professional women's leagues have begun preliminary discussions about an interleague competition that could launch as early as 2028. The National Women's Soccer League and the USL Super League are both sanctioned as first-division leagues by U.
S. Soccer.
WPSL Pro is expected to debut as a second-division professional league in 2028. It remains unclear whether and how amateur teams would be involved in the prospective competition.
Multiple sources indicated that such an organization could mark a new era for women's soccer in the United States.
