Welsh Heptathlete Pawlett Withdraws from Commonwealth Heptathlon

22‑year‑old Welsh heptathlete Pawlett has decided to pull out of the Commonwealth Games heptathlon. The decision follows a similar move by double champion Katarina Johnson‑Thompson and sees Pawlett focusing on the 200‑metre sprint.

While this limits her multi‑event exposure, it is expected to boost her performance in the short‑distance race.
