Infantino says FIFA will study 2030 World Cup with 64 teams

After the 2026 tournament, FIFA chief Gianni Infantino revived the discussion of a larger 2030 World Cup. The proposed 64‑team format would increase participation by 16 additional countries beyond the existing 48‑team structure.
